Intermediate Norwegian Language

Our intermediate Norwegian Language class will read a Norwegian Book starting Tuesday, October 8th. We are still deciding on the book and will provide the information in time to order and receive it before the class begins. There will be eight one-hour sessions.


Class Dates



 

Location: All classes are virtual; you will receive a ZOOM link before the first class.


Prerequisite:
  Have completed Sett i gang 1, 2, or equivalent.


Instructor: Sally Skow will be our instructor for the class. Sally has taught Norwegian classes at the Wooden Spoon in Plano, Texas, her home and online. Sally studied the language at the University of Minnesota and has a degree in archaeology from a Norwegian university.

About the Author:

Knut Hamsun (4 August 1859 – 19 February 1952) was a Norwegian writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1920. Hamsun's work spans more than 70 years and shows variation with regard to consciousness, subject, perspective and environment. He published more than 23 novels, a collection of poetry, some short stories and plays, a travelogue, works of non-fiction and some essays.
