Every chapter of the Norwegian Society of Texas is encouraged to promote, preserve, and enjoy a personalized appreciation of our Norwegian heritage, by learning, practicing, and sharing some of the unique heritage arts of the Norwegian and other Nordic peoples, especially:

Our Nordic Heritage Arts Program has twelve categories ranging from Nordic cuisine to international affairs. Select the category you would like to work on and use the specific program as a guide to complete the requirements. The link for the Program is found below.

When you have completed the requirements for your category fill out the checklist and have it approved by your NST chapter Vice President (or other chapter designee). The link to checklist is found below.

Jim Johnson completed the Nordic Wildlife & Ecology program in 2021. He is a member of both Midnattsolen and Troll Hjem. Jim researched several areas of Norwegian wildlife and presented his work at Midnattsolen Chapter meetings. You are able read his presentations below.
