Virtual Norwegian Class - Part 2

We are running a Trial Norwegian Language Class to prove concept for future classes. The class is will be held using Microsoft Teams. The class is broken up in two parts. At the end Part 1 we will receive student input, then decide if we continue to Part 2. We want to make sure the online class is meeting student expectations for learning Norwegian.

Our instructor, Sally Skow has taught Norwegian classes at the at the Wooden Spoon in Plano, Texas and in her home in the past. Sally studied language at the University of Minnesota and has a degree in archaeology from a Norwegian university.

Text Book:

Sett i gang 1 by Kari Lie Dorer & Nancy Aarsvold

The book sells for approximately $55-$59 on Amazon, but is available for less for Kindle.

Note: Make sure to purchase Volume 1

Sett i gang 1

Additional Information from our Instructor: It is a beginner’s course, but will also be suitable for those who have basic knowledge of Norwegian but want a refresher course. The textbook allows for a conversational style of learning that includes background information on Norwegian culture.

I prioritize pronunciation so everyone gets off to a good start. We will stress basic conversational Norwegian and the vocabulary necessary for travel, communicating with Norwegian-speaking relatives, as well as terms needed for Norwegian family research.
